Terms & Conditions – U Stars Lunar New Year Lucky Draw 2022 (6 January 2022 – 20 February 2022)
Terms & Conditions
The “U Stars Lunar New Year Lucky Draw 2022” (the “Contest”) is organised by U Stars Supermarket Pte Ltd and U Stars Pte Ltd located at 19 Senoko Crescent Singapore 758273 (collectively, “The Organizer”).
By participating in the Contest, participants agree to be bound by and to comply with these terms and conditions and any other rules, terms or conditions applicable to the Contest. Non-compliance with or breach of any of these terms and conditions may disqualify a participant at any stage of the Contest, and any prizes won may be forfeited, withheld, withdrawn or reclaimed.
1. Duration
This Lucky Draw will start on 6 January 2022 and end on 20 February 2022 (“Lucky Draw Period”). Thereafter, there will be a grand prize draw period.
The Organizer may at its sole and absolute discretion extend or shorten the Lucky Draw Period at any time without any prior notice to any party (“the Extended Period”). Unless and until the new Lucky Draw Period is announced, any participation received after the end of the Lucky Draw Period (due to any reason howsoever and/or whatsoever arising) shall be disqualified. Any participation in the Lucky Draw during the Extended Period (if any) shall be governed by these terms and conditions (“Terms and Conditions”) which shall remain in full force and effect.
2. Eligibility
This Contest is open to Singapore Citizens, Permanent Residents, Employment Pass Holders and Work Permit Holders aged 18 and above as of 1st Jan 2022. Employees of The Organizer, its related companies and agencies and appointed distributors are not eligible to participate in this Contest. Participants below 18 years old as at 1st Jan 2022 must obtain consent of parents or legal guardians and, by participating in this Contest, it is deemed that consent has been obtained.
3. Lucky Draw Mechanics
This Lucky Draw will apply for the following retail platforms:
1. U Stars Mega Mart
2. U Stars Supermarket
3. U Stars Xpress
How to participate:
To be eligible, each participant must purchase a minimum $30 worth of products# in a single receipt. Participants must then proceed to scan the QR code (or go to https://forms.gle/QrdXwGK6NVbVZVu86)
to upload their personal particulars (Full Name, Identification Number, Contact Number, Email), receipt number and purchase amount.
Every receipt for $30 spent entitles the participant to one (1) entry into the Lucky Draw.
The Lucky Draw entry must comply with the requirements below to qualify:
1) Personal particulars (Full Name, Identification Number, Contact Number, Email) of the participants must be clearly indicated.
2) Original receipt must be presented for verification upon collection of the prize.
3) Only one submission is allowed per receipt. Multiple submissions will be disqualified.
4) Only participant of the selected entry will be notified and eligible for the prize.
5) Lucky Draw entry timestamp must be submitted by 27 December 2021 2359hrs to qualify.
The Organizer reserves the right, at its sole discretion, to disqualify any participant that is in breach of Clause 3 and/or found or suspected of cheating in the Lucky Draw.
By participating in the Lucky Draw, each participant is deemed to have agreed to these terms and conditions contained therein.
1. Lucky Draw Prizes
1) $1,688 Cash – 1 winner
2) $1,288 Cash – 1 winner
3) $888 Cash – 1 winner
4) $100 U Stars Vouchers – 50 winners
The Organizer reserves the right to substitute any of the prizes with items of equivalent value without prior notice.
Prizes are not exchangeable, transferable, or redeemable in any other form for whatever reason. Lucky Draw winner(s) are solely responsible for the collection of their prize(s).
All Lucky Draw winner(s) must abide by the terms and conditions of the parties arranging and/or providing for the prizes and the terms and conditions attached to the prizes, if any.
The Organizer makes no warranties or representations whatsoever with respect to the prizes and shall not be responsible nor liable for any problems and/or damage there to or arising there from.
In the event a Lucky Draw winner(s) chooses not to accept a prize, they will disclaim all rights, interests and claims to that prize and the prize will be dealt with according to the sole and absolute discretion of the Organizer.
All prizes are accepted entirely at the risk of the Lucky Draw winner(s), and the Organizer excludes all liabilities, representations and warranties in connection with any prize to the extent permitted by law. Lucky Draw winner(s) shall comply with the terms and conditions of each prize.
All brands, names and trademarks associated with or used to describe some of the prizes are owned by their respective owners. The Organizer and its affiliates are not related to, connected to or associated with these parties in any way.
Images of the prizes used on the promotional materials are for illustration purposes only and does not necessarily reflect the actual prizes.
2. Winning Criteria
In order to win prizes in the Lucky Draw, participants are required to comply with Clause 3.
The Lucky Draw’s winning mechanics will be determined by the Organizer. The Organizer reserves the right to amend and change the Lucky Draw’s winning mechanics at their sole discretion without having to assign any reason whatsoever. Winners will be randomly selected from valid entries with verified receipts.
All prize winners will need to present original receipt and their NRIC (or relevant ID card) to claim prize. If any of these is not presented for prize collection, Organizer reserves the right to withhold prize till they are presented or failing with, disqualify the participant.
All of the Organizer’s decisions in connection with this Lucky Draw shall be final, conclusive and binding and the participants agree to abide by the Organizer’s decision with respect to all aspects in connection with this Lucky Draw. By participating in this Lucky Draw, the participants agree not to challenge and/or object to any decisions made by the Organizer in connection with the Lucky Draw.
3. Notifications of Lucky Draw Winner(s) for Prize Collection(s)
The Organizer will notify Lucky Draw winner(s) via the email or contact number provided in their entry form.
The Organizer, its partners and its sponsor(s) (if any) will not be held liable in the event of non-invoice or delayed delivery of the notification to the Lucky Draw winner(s).
4. Publicity
The Organizer shall reserve the right to publish, use the names and/or photographs of the Lucky Draw winner(s) and photographs/content submitted by the participants for the Lucky Draw as materials for the purposes of advertising and/or trade publicity, without any prior notice to the Lucky Draw winner(s) and the Lucky Draw winner(s) shall not be entitled to claim ownership or other forms of compensation materials from the Organizer or its affiliates.
By participating in this Lucky Draw, you are deemed to have given your consent to photography and/or videography of the prize presentation for purposes of advertising and/or trade publicity.
5. Liability
The Lucky Draw winner(s) shall assume full liability and responsibility in case of any liability, mishap, injury, loss, damage, claim or accident (including death) resulting from their participation in this Lucky Draw, redemption and/or usage of the prizes. The Organizer or its affiliates shall not be responsible for any liability, mishap, loss, damage, claim or accident (including death) in any manner whatsoever.
All costs and/or any other costs, fees and/or related expenses that are incurred to participate in this Lucky Draw and to redeem the prizes are the sole responsibility of the participants.
6. Suspension
The Organizer reserves the right to modify, suspend or cancel this Lucky Draw in the event that it becomes not capable of running as planned, technically interfered or corrupted or any other causes beyond the control of the Organizer, despite the best efforts of the Organizer.
7. Organizer’s Rights
The Organizer reserves the right to change the terms and conditions of the Lucky Draw without prior notice.
8. Intellectual Property
Unless otherwise stated, the Organizer retains all proprietary rights to the intellectual property used for this Lucky Draw and owns the copyright to all contents within.
9. Consent to Personal Data Usage for Marketing and Promotional Materials Distribution
By submitting your Lucky Draw entry, you agree that The Organizer may collect, use and disclose your personal data, as provided in this entry form, for the following purposes in accordance with the Personal Data Protection Act 2012:
- to administer this Lucky Draw, including to contact you for the administration of prizes in relation to this Lucky Draw.
- for the provision and distribution of marketing and promotional materials in relation to this Lucky Draw and for future promotions related to The Organizer.
# Purchases of Cigarettes, Gift Vouchers and Gift Cards alone are excluded from calculation of the qualifying minimum spend:, statutory items (4D, Singapore Sweep, TOTO).
